About the Position

We're looking for a Director of Product to lead all our Product area, guiding the evolution of our products to increase the value we deliver to our students and massively grow the company. We're looking for someone with a track record of leading high-performing teams, driving innovation, owning results, with a collaborative work style and mobile apps expertise. If you want to change the future of language learning at a high pace and purpose-driven company, this is it!

This position is open for both Brazilian and international candidates. It's remote, we're based in GMT-3 Brazil time, so timezones between GMT-0 to GMT-6 are preferred. Speaking Portuguese OR English is a requirement, both is a plus.

The challenge

We're working to evolve our business to be product-led and the company to be product-centered, with AI at the core. That means we’ll expect you to deeply understand our students, the business and the technological moment, increasingly drive engagement and financial results and use all that to influence the company strategy.

Today, we teach over 100,000 students across Brazil and LATAM with 3 main products: 

(i) High-quality video courses by famous creators along with a spaced repetition app;

(ii) Live conversation lessons (individual and group) with 500 teachers (4.9 avg rating) and;

(iii) A new app to teach languages via AI conversation (pre-launch stage).

Our Product & Tech organization currently has around 50 highly motivated and collaborative professionals, working in multidisciplinary squads.


You’ll report directly to the CPO, working closely with our Engineering, Design, Data, AI and Learning Experience leaders.

What you’ll do

Lead our Product Strategy along with other Product & Tech leaders;

Influence company-wide strategy working close to the C-level and founders, sharing relevant data, research, and experiment results;

Develop a strong PM team where people feel challenged, safe, caring about what they do and drive strong results with autonomy and responsibility;

Be agile and adapt constantly to changes of direction based on new learnings, natural of high-growth companies and innovating spaces;

Partner with other leaders to elevate the voice of the user and ensure we build the right things, the right way.

Requisitos e qualificações

Who we're looking for

Experience leading product teams;

A track record of driving results and impacting the business;

Experience in startups - early stage or growth stage -so you're used to dynamic fast-paced environments and making decisions fast with limited data;

Experience leading mobile apps is a big plus - we're creating a new B2C app from scratch;

The ability to bring clarity to chaos, balance short- and long-term bets, and keep the user needs at the center.
